Black people struggle with betrayal every day. We’ve been betrayed by this government, by corporate entities, by shady capitalists who exploit our ignorance of finance… by black leaders, the nonprofits, BLM and the black church that pushes forgiveness of our enemies over black progression.
Betrayal is why my movement circle is a dot… Since Ferguson alone… I spent the last 7 years watching people I stood with sell out to the white establishment Dem machine, faux white progressives, the NPIC, even Black Lives Matter, a grift moment that hijacked what we started here, commodified our struggle then sold it to the highest bidder… And watching black women sell out the collective to the Bidens, just to see themselves in position cracking the whip and the Bloombergs/Zuckerbergs who make it rain in politics the way rappers make it rain at the strip club. One huge diff, at least those who frequent or work at the strip club are honest about it.
After 50+ years of betrayal at the hands of the left, I can’t with negros still pushing plantation politics, still waiting on Democrats, a white savior or black messiah to save us. Or with these lil games they play, like using terms/concepts like intersectionality or racial justice and pushing progressive policies (dangling carrots) to bamboozle us into staying the course.
The worst betrayal is by those who know better, yet do nothing, who won’t shake the applecart, rock the boat or knock the hustle. Those who are comfortable in their discomfort, who won’t sacrifice crumbs they’ve been allowed to build, bake a cake so we all can eat… those who settle for dependence upon the very system they claim to be fighting. Defeated black boomers. And cowards. Most negros are political cowards.
In 2021 political cowardice will come with huge consequence… at the national, state and local level. Consequence is the only thing that trickles down.
